$5 National Currency 1882-DB Ch#5161 - Louisville Nat. Banking Co, Louisville, KY - PMG 35 EPQ

This $5 1882 Date Back is a beautiful type example of this second charter period note from the hometown of “The Greatest” Mohammad Ali.  This first title note still has a clean, fresh, original appearance capped off wonderful bold signatures.  Chartered in 1898 and surviving until 1929, only produced large notes under 3 different bank names.  Louisville Fun Fact:  The city produces 90% of the nation’s Disco Balls.
