Located in Mendocino County in Northern California, not to confused with Fort Bragg in North Carolina, however they were named after the same Army Officer Braxton Bragg who served in Mexican-American War and went on the serve in Confederate Army during the Civil War.  Fort Bragg, CA was founded as garrison rather than a fortification and military units remained there until 1864 when the garrison was abandoned.  Later a small number of lumber mills and ranches were established in the area and the City incorporated in 1889.  This note is 1 OF 7 LARGE NOTES reported in the Census with the bank’s 2nd title.
