$20 National Currency 1902-DB Ch#10327 - American NB, Knoxville, TN - PMG 25

Located in Knox county on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains, Knoxville is the largest city in the eastern half of Tennessee.  The American National Bank was chartered in 1913 but was liquidated the day after Christmas of 1922.  Due to the bank short run, it has ONLY 6 NOTES REPORTED FOR THIS ALL LARGE BANK IN THE CENSUS.  This note is 1 OF ONLY 2 1902 DATE BACK NOTES REPORTED

Fun Fact: Knoxville held the 1982 World’s Fair and hosted over 11 million visitors during the exhibition.  At the time, Knoxville was the smallest city to have hosted the event.  The world’s first touch screen computers were shown off in the US Pavilion.
