Located in Tulare County north of Bakersfield, Ducor was named by the railroad that ran through town as abbreviation for "Dutch Corners" after the German settlers who were farming opposite corners of the railroad crossing. The bank was chartered in 1912 and was acquired by Bank of America when they were creating their statewide branch system. With a total issue of $271,780 the bank only had $2,460 of Large still out at its closing. As a result this note is 1 OF ONLY 8 LARGE NOTES KNOWN for the Bank in the Census to accompany only 3 Small notes.
